BELLEVUE, Ohio — Authorities in Sandusky County are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a couple were found shot to death inside the bathroom of their home.
Investigators believe that Ernest Sears, 75, used a revolver to shoot and kill his wife, Gloria Sears, 46, before turning the weapon on himself inside their home at 622 County Road 191, just outside of Bellevue.
The couple, authorities said, were in the process of a divorce.
It’s unclear exactly what time the shootings happened, but authorities said it was sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday.
The bodies were found by Mrs. Sears’ 21-year-old son.
