Toledo man, 23, accused of beating two young girls

A 23-year-old Toledo man was charged with two counts of endangering children after, police say, he beat two young girls with a belt.

Willis Ross, of 909 Dorr St., is accused of using a belt and his hand to hit 3- and 4-year-old girls.

Documents filed Wednesday night in Toledo Municipal Court state that the girls had bruising on their face, arms, back, and buttocks.

Mr. Ross was arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court Thursday morning. He’s being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on Nov. 17.
