Ms. Wells was also arraigned by video Thursday where she requested a continuance to consult an attorney.
Charles Smith, of Bluffton, Ohio; Marc Akam, of Lakeville, Ohio; and Mark Laudick, of Fort Jennings, Ohio, were charged with solicitation.
Wood County Sheriff Sgt. Terry James declined to say which motel the operation was conducted at, but said authorities had received complaints of prostitution in that area.
“We’re trying to keep the prostitutes out of Wood County,” the sergeant said.
The sergeant said they seized a small amount of marijuana from one of the women.
