Authorities Tuesday identified Sammy Moore as the Toledo man who was shot on the city’s east side the night before.
The victim, 49, was shot once in the abdomen.
He was in serious condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after undergoing surgery, Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said.
The shooting at Sixth and Platt streets occurred about 11:30 p.m. Monday, after the man was apparently involved in a quarrel at a pool hall a few blocks away on Main Street, Sergeant Erik Welling said.
A car followed behind him, and the man was shot, he said.
The incident remains under investigation.
