BLADE STAFF

Six people were injured, one critically, when a vehicle went off the road and struck several trees Sunday in Lucas County’s Springfield Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Elizabeth Musch, 30, of Toledo, one of several passengers in a sport utility vehicle driven by Kevin Musch, 29, of Holland, was ejected from the vehicle.

She was in critical condition in the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, troopers said.

Mr. Musch was eastbound on Geiser Road just east of Eber Road about 1:50 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and hit the trees.

Mr. Musch and passengers John Cunningham II, 33, Samuel Smith, 29, Sandy Russell, 31, and Florence Jung, 30, all of Toledo, were injured but no medical transportation was required, according to the highway patrol.

The crash remains under investigation by the Toledo post of the highway patrol.
