PORT CLINTON — A Port Clinton man was injured Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle crash on State Rt. 163 near Sand Road, west of Port Clinton, in Ottawa County’s Portage Township, troopers with the Sandusky post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Jamison Walker, 21, was westbound on Route 163 when he drove off the right side of the highway and struck a guardrail. His car rolled over and landed on top of another guardrail on the opposite side of the road.
The accident, reported at 6:20 p.m., involved alcohol, troopers said.
Mr. Walker was taken to Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton and later flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. A spokesman said the hospital did not list him as a patient.
Troopers said Mr. Walker was alone and not wearing a seat belt.
Port Clinton is about 45 miles east of Toledo.
