One dies in Putnam County fire
OTTAWA, Ohio — A house fire northwest of the Putnam County community of Ottawa Wednesday took the live of an individual inside the structure, sheriff’s deputies said.
The name of the victim was not released, pending notification of family members, deputies said. The fire in the two-story country home on Road 5-H was reported at 1:36 p.m.
The state fire marshal’s office was investigating.
Fire crews from Ottawa, Gilboa, Leipsic, and Pandora were called to extinguish the blaze.
Ottawa is 60 miles south of Toledo.
