2 men are sought in West Toledo gas station crime

The Lucas County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men deputies say robbed a West Toledo gas station last month.

A sheriff's report says two employees at Exxon on the Run, 24 S. McCord Rd., were robbed at gunpoint about 4:55 a.m. Jan. 27.

The gunmen went into the gas station and forced the employees to the floor before demanding that a clerk open the cash drawer, reports state. The gunmen took about $600 and fled out the back door, southbound through a wooded area.

Authorities describe the first robber as a black man, about 5 feet, 7 inches and weighing 170 pounds, and the second as a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. Both wore all black, including face masks, and each was armed with a small, silver automatic handgun.
