3-carat diamond ring stolen from mall

A 3-carat diamond ring was stolen from a Westfield Franklin Park Mall jewelry store last week, police said. The ring from Rogers & Hollands Jewelers is valued at $13,857, according to a Toledo police report.

The report states that a man inside the store Wednesday asked a clerk to show him the ring. When the employee took the ring out of the case, the man grabbed it and ran, police said.

Police describe the man as black, about 20 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, about 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also reportedly had trimmed facial hair.
