Authorities Monday night identified the woman who was pulled from the lake at Olander Park in Sylvania earlier in the day.

Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner, said the body was that of Tijuana Linzy, 37, of 7310 Wembley Terrace West, Sylvania.

An autopsy is to be performed Tuesday, Dr. Patrick said.

Ms. Linzy was pronounced dead at 2:55 p.m. in Flower Hospital.

Authorities said they didn't know where she entered the water, the depth in the pond where she was found, nor the water temperature.

Sylvania police Chief William Rhodus said a citizen and a park employee saw the body at 2 p.m. about 20 to 30 yards offshore.

The Sylvania Township Fire Department was called, and firefighters pulled the body from the lake. The park was closed Monday while authorities conducted their the investigation.

This would be the third drowning in the 49-year history of the park if the death is determined to be a drowning, said Gary Madrzykowski, director of the Olander Park System.
