Road rage suspected in Sylvania Twp. hit-skip
A man in Sylvania Township was struck by a car that then drove away Wednesday night in what authorities said could have begun as a road-rage incident.
Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said Michael Creamer, 38, of Deshler, Ohio, was westbound on Central Avenue east of Crissey Road about 7:45 p.m. when he stopped his pickup in the road. His passenger, Harold Roof, Jr., 48, also of Deshler, got out and was struck by a car that drove off the right side of the road and then drove away.
Troopers said the vehicles were involved in a possible road-rage incident that lasted about a mile.
Mr. Roof was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio hospital, with incapacitating injuries, troopers said.
His condition was not available last night.
