ARCHBOLD, Ohio — A teenage boy was killed when he was struck by a car Wednesday night while walking on County Road F near this Fulton County community, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Joshua Stanford, 17, of Archbold, was pronounced dead at the scene, in German Township, troopers at the patrol’s Toledo post said.
Young Stanford was walking west on Road F east of State Route 66 about 8:45 p.m. when he was struck by a car driven by Peter Dinius, 27, of Archbold, who was also westbound on the road, troopers said.
Mr. Dinius was not injured in the crash, according to the patrol.
The crash remained under investigation. There was no word of citations.
Archbold is about 40 miles southwest of Toledo.
