Man arrested in Wisconsin for murder of Toledoan
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — A Toledo man was arrested in Eau Claire early today and accused of the shooting of a man earlier this month, authorities said.
James Sutton IV, 21, was arrested for an alleged theft that occurred in Eau Claire, Toledo police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said. Once Toledo police learned of his arrest, they filed an arrest warrant in Toledo Municipal Court on a murder charge in the death of Torian Tall, 25, Sgt. Heffernan said.
The victim was shot and killed about 2:40 a.m. April 15 behind a Valero Gas Station in the 3300 block of Monroe Street, according to Toledo police.
The suspect’s extradition is pending, Sgt. Heffernan said.
