A man is removed from a home on Keil Road near Avondale following a standoff with Toledo Police.
A standoff at a West Toledo home Wednesday afternoon ended when a man surrendered to police.
Toledo police took the man into custody at about 5:45 p.m. No one was injured.
Police responded to 934 Keil Road about 3:45 p.m. on a call of a man threatening to kill himself. Authorities said that initially, at least four people were inside with the man, including his wife and three children, however, the man let them leave the house during the standoff.
Toledo police negotiators were able to enter the house and talk to the man, who they could see through an open bedroom door.
Authorities said they were able to convince the man to put his gun down, at which time he was taken into custody without incident. His name was unavailable.
