Woman burned in house fire dies

A South Toledo woman who collapsed trying to escape a fire at her South Toledo home on June 9 has died. Elizabeth James, whose age was not available, died on Thursday.

Lucas County Coroner Dr. James Patrick said information on the cause of death was not accessible Saturday night.

Ms. James was found unconscious inside her home at 3801 Ben Lomond Ct. about 8:40 p.m. on June 9. She was hospitalized in the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center's burn unit.

The fire is being investigated as accidental.
