A 79-year-old Toledo man was arrested for drunken driving after rear ending a Toledo police cruiser, officials said.
Police were responding to a crash at Bancroft Street and Upton Avenue in central Toledo about 5 p.m. Wednesday when the cruiser was hit by another vehicle.
The driver, who police allege “appeared highly intoxicated with slurred speech and had to be assisted out of the vehicle,” was arrested after the crash, but does not appear to have been charged per Toledo Municipal Court records, nor was he booked into the Lucas County jail.
Police said both the cruiser and Mr. Taylor’s vehicle had minor damage. No one was injured.
