Convenience store robbed in South Toledo

A South Toledo convenience store was robbed late Thursday by a man who reportedly threatened to kill the sales clerk, according to police.

Police said a man with a gun entered the Stop & Shop at 5409 Dorr St. at 10:07 p.m. and told the clerk, "I will kill you where you stand," according to a police report.

The gunman forced the clerk into the back room to open an empty safe. He then demanded the employee open the cash register, and he took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber is described as black, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 225 pounds. He was wearing a black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and gray pants. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
