Oregon police, firefighters in line for 2.5% raise
Oregon police officers and full-time firefighters will be getting a 2.5 percent raise effective July 1. City council approved the wage boosts at its regular meeting tonight.
The raises are to be given in the second year of a three-year contract that called for no increase in the first year and wage reopeners in the second and third years.
With the raises in place, the hourly pay rate range for police command officers will be $31.01 to $39.11, and the range for dispatchers and patrolmen will be $21.55 to $29.67. Full-time firefighters will be paid between $24.66 and $32.17.
The 2.5 percent raise will be extended to the city’s nonunion employees as well.
