Police investigate fatal Monroe County incident

DUNDEE, Mich. — Authorities continued their probe today into a traffic incident in which a woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck near her Dundee home.

Brenda Flaugher, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene, Michigan State Police said.

Ms. Flaugher was walking along Dixon Road near South Custer Road about 9:45 p.m. Saturday night when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old man, also of Dundee, officers said.

The incident remained under investigation. There were no charges as of today, police said.

Dundee, in Monroe County, is 25 miles northeast of Toledo.
