Michigan State Police confirmed today that they are continuing the search for Thomas Jack Fritz of Sylvania, who is suspected in the murders of his former girlfriend, Amy Lynn Merrill, 33, and her younger sister, Lisa Michelle Gritzmaker, 24. The murders occurred in Blissfield at around 11:40 p.m. on Friday.

The Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office has issued a three-count felony warrant, with two counts of open murder and one count of assault with intent to commit murder — the women’s mother, Robin Lynn McCowan, is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The Michigan State Police Monroe Post, Blissfield Police Department, and Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office are carrying out the investigation with the aid of the Michigan State Police First District Fugitive Team and U.S. Marshals Service.

Anyone with information about the case should call 517-241-8000.
