Toledo man charged after allegedly stabbing girlfriend

BLADE STAFF

A Toledo man is being held in the county jail for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the abdomen.

Kenneth Allison, Jr., 37, of 5807 Willow Run Dr., is charged with one count of felonious assault. He is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Police responded to the Willow Run address just before 1 a.m. this morning and found Patrice Ellis, 38, stabbed, according to a police incident report.

Documents filed in Toledo Municipal Court state that the victim was stabbed with a pocket knife and required surgery.

Ms. Ellis was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio. There was no information about a patient by that name, a spokesman said.

Mr. Allison is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 9.
