Oregon police arrest Tiffin couple in pizza restaurant robbery
Oregon police today arrested a Tiffin couple for allegedly robbing a pizza restaurant on Aug. 14.
Nathan Hunker, 29, and Victoria Kinn-Hunker, 20, who are accused of robbing Little Caesars Pizza, 2535 Starr Ave., are charged with aggravated robbery and complicity to aggravated robbery, respectively, said Sgt. Kelly Thibert.
Police have said that a man went into the shop at 2:47 p.m. on Aug. 14 armed with a silver revolver and demanded cash from the clerk.
The man was able to get an undetermined amount of cash and then fled on foot before getting into a vehicle, driven by a woman, parked nearby.
Sergeant Thibert said detectives had help in solving the case from the clerk who was able to get several characters from the license plate of the getaway vehicle and Facebook, where department officials posted surveillance video of the robbery.
“We were ultimately able to have them positively identified off of the pictures on Facebook,” the sergeant said.
The couple, arrested today by Tiffin police, were being held in the Seneca County jail. The sergeant said Oregon police were on their way to pick up the suspects so they could be booked and then taken to the Lucas County jail, pending arraignment.
