BOWLING GREEN -- A Bowling Green man was indicted this week by a Wood County grand jury in a crash of his car in which a passenger was killed.
Matthew Nissen, 24, was indicted on two counts each of aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office said Mr. Nissen's vehicle veered off Bloomdale Road on June 17. He overcorrected, and the vehicle went off the other side of the road, rolled several times, and hit a tree, killing his passenger, Mitchell Aring, 30, of Pemberville.
The grand jury also indicted Jerry Eschedor, Jr., 43, of Bowling Green for aggravated vehicular assault, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and failure to stop after an accident last month.
Bowling Green police said Caleb J. Roberts, 19, was riding a bicycle in the 800 block of 4th Street about 11:15 p.m. Aug. 26 when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver allegedly parked the vehicle and fled.
