Person shot in E. Toledo identified

Toledo police have identified Kenneth Collins as the person shot on the city’s east side Tuesday.

The victim was taken to Mercy St. Charles Hospital. A hospital spokesman said she had no information about a person by that name.

Just before 4 p.m., police responded to a report of a person shot on the east side. The victim was reported to be shot in the leg in the 1100 block of Sisson Drive in the vicinity of the Weiler Homes, police said.

Police did not say what the motive was.

There was no word of arrests.
