Man taken to hospital after rollover crash in Hancock County
FINDLAY -- One man was taken by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital after crashing his vehicle in Liberty Township.
Jeff Womack, 37, of McComb, Ohio, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment. A hospital spokesman said at 9:30 a.m. there was no information available about the patient.
Deputies from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office reported that, at 6:19 a.m. today, Mr. Womack was driving westbound U.S. 224 when his vehicle went off the south side of the road, but continued westbound. The vehicle struck a ditch and went airborne, hitting a mailbox, and rolling over. The vehicle finally landed on a livestock fence, deputies said.
Mr. Womack was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital.
Assisting at the scene was HANCO EMS, Liberty Township Fire Department, and Life Flight.
