Fatal crash in Fulton Co. closes part of State Rt. 64

SWANTON--A motorcyclist was killed this afternoon in a head-on collision with a pickup on State Rt. 64 in Fulton Township near Swanton, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Chester White, 65, of Berkey, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fulton County Coroner.

According to troopers, Mr. White was going north on Route 64 about 3:45 p.m. when he went left of center on a curve south of County Road K and crashed into the southbound truck driven by David Marvin, 34, of Swanton.

Mr. Marvin and his passenger, Matthew Fitch, 24, of Delta, were wearing seat belts and were not hurt. Mr. White was wearing a helmet.

The accident remains under investigation.
