A man who broke into a North Toledo home Tuesday was caught on camera, police said.

The owners of a home in the 3600 block of Anglebrook Court told police they have a surveillance system that takes pictures of anyone who is inside the home and shouldn’t be; the pictures are then sent to their phones.

About 12:20 p.m., one of the residents, William Toth, 64, received a photo of a man inside the home, peeking into a room. The homeowner called police; by the time officers arrived, the man was nowhere to be found.

Mr. Toth could not be reached by phone for comment. He told police that he saw the man walking in the neighborhood as he was leaving that morning, but he did not know who the person was.

Police are asking that anyone who recognizes the suspect call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
