BLADE STAFF

At least three Toledo businesses were robbed over the weekend, Toledo police reported.

Saturday morning, police were called to Monroe Pharmacy at 4122 Monroe St. for an armed robbery.

According to a police incident report, a man with a handgun went into the pharmacy at 9:35 a.m. and demanded that an employee give the suspect cash from two registers.

The employee complied and the suspect fled, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Sunday, the BP gas station at 95 Main St., reported being robbed by a man with a switch blade, according to a Toledo police report.

An employee there told police that a man ran into the store at about 8 p.m. and told the employee, "Give me everything you got before I [expletive] you up," according to a Toledo police report.

The employee backed up, and the suspect said, "Don't touch anything or I'll [expletive] kill you."

The employee opened a register and gave the suspect about $353 in cash; the suspect then fled the store.

The suspect is described as white, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and 140 to 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange and black mask and a black and gray striped hooded sweatshirt.

Just before 10 p.m. Sunday, a West Toledo Little Caesars was robbed, police said.

A man went into the store, at 4302 Lewis Ave., at 9:56 p.m., locked the door behind him, and pulled a mask over his face, an employee at the pizzeria told police.

The suspect jumped over the counter and reportedly held a carving knife to the employee's stomach, demanding cash, the report states.

The suspect fled southbound toward Sylvania Avenue after taking cash, police reported.

A witness described the suspect as about 5 feet, 8 inches and wearing all black. A further suspect description was not available.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
