A Gibsonburg, Ohio, man was seriously injured after he was struck by a car on Summit Street near Chicago Street Sunday evening, Toledo police said.
The pedestrian, Robert Jones, 48, was standing near the center line on Summit Street when he was struck by a car driven by Shaneka Morales, 20, of Toledo, around 5:10 p.m.
Police said Mr. Jones flew several feet before striking his head on the pavement, causing severe trauma to his head, investigators said. He was taken to Toledo Hospital, where his condition was not immediately available.
