Both the Toledo Police Department and the Wood County Sheriff's Office will conduct city and countywide traffic blitzes starting today for Halloween enforcement.
The blitzes, funded by federal grants, continue through Thursday, authorities said.
Locations were not announced, but officials said they will focus in areas with a high number of reported crashes, and will pay attention to violations that are leading factors in traffic fatalities, including driving under the influence and speeding.
