Indiana driver hurt as truck plunges off turnpike

BLADE STAFF

GENOA — The Ohio Highway Patrol investigated an injury crash Friday in which a semi fell off an Ohio Turnpike overpass onto West Camper Road near this Ottawa County community.

The driver, Levi Miller, 70, of Goshen, Ind., was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with injuries that appeared to be serious, according to the patrol’s Swanton post. A hospital spokesman Friday confirmed that Mr. Miller was admitted to the hospital, but did not release a condition.

Mr. Miller was driving west on the turnpike about 4 miles east of I-280 about 8:21 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, which careened off the overpass, troopers report.
