Toledo police wrapped up a two-week campaign Friday that aimed to find as many applicants as possible for upcoming academy classes.
The overall number of applicants was not available Friday, but Toledo police Lt. Brian Twining said the recruitment drive was successful.
Most applicants are from Toledo and nearby suburbs, the lieutenant said, but officers went to colleges and job fairs across the state looking for interested people.
Applicants will next take a civil service exam Dec. 1.
