Incident took lives of mother, two siblings

FOSTORIA -- A 5-year-old girl is in critical condition at a Toledo hospital after her mother and two siblings were killed in a traffic crash Tuesday night in Seneca County's Hopewell Township.

Arianna Bryant, who was ejected from the vehicle, is being treated for her injuries at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where she was taken by air ambulance after the crash.

Her mother, Bethany Garner, 25, who was riding in the front passenger seat and was also ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, as were Skyler Bryant, 7, and Angel Bryant, 4. Angel was ejected from the vehicle as well.

Terry Bryant, Jr., 27, who was driving the vehicle, was taken to Fostoria Community Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries, according to the Fremont post of the State Highway Patrol. Mr. Bryant's condition was not immediately available.

Troopers report that Mr. Bryant was driving westbound on Township Road 112 when he ran a stop sign at County Road 7, hitting a vehicle driving southbound on the county road at about 7:10 p.m.

The second vehicle was driven by Kristopher Stafford, 28. Mr. Stafford was taken by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he is listed in fair condition.

Both vehicles went off the south side of the roadway and overturned multiple times.

All of the victims are of Fostoria.

The crash remains under investigation; no charges have been filed.
