Federal funds will pay for police traffic blitzes
Federal funding will allow the Toledo Police Department to conduct traffic enforcement blitzes on various dates, at various locations, through Jan. 2.
Officers working these blitzes will be concentrated in several areas in the city, focusing on school and construction zones, and areas with a higher number of reported traffic crashes. Funding is provided by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the Ohio Department of Criminal Justice.
