Second downtown Toledo bank robbed in 2 days

Toledo police are investigating a downtown bank robbery.

PNC Bank, 405 Madison Ave., was robbed at about 9:45 a.m. today.

Initial reports indicate that the man threatened a clerk and indicated he had a weapon, although the suspect did not show he had one.

The suspect is described as a black male, thin, bald, and wearing a brown jacket. He fled the bank on foot, running toward Jefferson Avenue.

The downtown Huntington Bank at 519 Madison Ave., was robbed Wednesday afternoon for the second time in less than a month.

Anyone with information on either crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
