Chief asks for pledges of $15,000 for police dog


WOODVILLE — Village Police Chief Roy Whitehead is looking for support to add a dog to the local force.

With the endorsement of village council, Chief Whitehead is seeking pledges totaling $15,000 to purchase a police dog and equipment and to train it and provide a handler. Woodville has not had a police dog since 2006.
