A Toledo man was arrested early today after leading law enforcement officers on a late night chase.
Troopers from the Toledo Post of the State Highway Patrol attempted to stop Bryon L. Hageman, 43, of Toledo, at about 12:45 a.m. today on Holland-Sylvania Road near South Avenue for reckless driving, according to a statement from the Highway Patrol.
A pursuit ensued, leading to a residence on Lincoln Green Street in Springfield Township, where the driver began to ram a police vehicle, according to the Patrol.
Shots were fired at the suspect, who then fled again. He was arrested shortly after he was located in a parking lot on Hill Avenue, then taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for minor injuries.
He is now incarcerated at the Lucas County Justice Center on multiple charges resulting from the incident.
The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Toledo Police Department, and Holland Police Department assisted on scene. The incident remains under investigation at this time, according to a statement from the Highway Patrol.
