A Toledo teenager certified to stand trial as an adult on accusations of shooting another youth and firing a shot at a police officer has been indicted by a Lucas County grand jury.
Titus Crittendon, 16, of 731 Pinewood Ave. was indicted Thursday on two counts of felonious assault, both with firearms specifications. Last month, Lucas County Juvenile Court Judge Denise Navarre Cubbon ruled that young Crittendon should be tried as an adult.
He is accused of shooting Tyreece Richardson, 17, in the hip near Nicholas Street and Prouty Avenue on Thanksgiving. He is also accused of firing a shot at Toledo Police Officer Melvin Russell, who was chasing the Crittendon youth after the shooting incident. The officer was not struck.
