Man shot in chest during fight in South Toledo alley

A man was shot in the chest Saturday during a fight in a South Toledo alley, police said.

The shooting was reported about 4:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of Prouty Avenue.

At least two men were scuffling when someone pulled out a pistol and fired.

Victor Hunt, 46, who lives nearby, was taken by private vehicle to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital. The injury did not appear to be life threatening, Toledo police Sgt. Roy Kennedy said. The victim's condition was not immediately available.

Five men were taken to the Safety Building for questioning, but no one had been charged by 11:30 p.m.
