Freezing rain wreaks havoc on roads

Freezing rain today was causing havoc for morning commuters in many areas of northwest Ohio – prompting numerous minor accidents and causing vehicles to slip and slide off roadways.

Fifteen vehicles were involved in scattered crashes along northbound I-75 near exit 161 in Hancock County. It has tied up traffic for two hours today, but no serious injuries were reported, according to Findlay’s Ohio Highway Patrol post.

Sandusky, Bowling Green, and Berea Ohio Highway Patrols also reported numerous crashes and slide-offs.
