Area law enforcement agents will run sobriety checkpoints throughout Lucas County between 10 p.m. Friday and and 2 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.
The checkpoints will be set up on State Rt. 2 and Fulton-Lucas Road in Swanton Township, on Salisbury Road near Briarfield Boulevard in Monclova Township, and on Sylvania Avenue near King Road, in Sylvania Township, according to the Lucas County Sheriff's Office.
The effort will be paid for with a federal grant.
