A Toledo woman was hospitalized in serious condition Saturday after the car she was driving crashed Friday night on Central Avenue in Richfield Township, injuring her and four passengers, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.
Christie Hatley, 38, was taken to Toledo Hospital following the 9:40 p.m. crash near Washburn Road. Passengers Elizabeth Golebiewski, 53, of Fayette, Ohio, and Jessica Asbury, 29, Angelica Asbury, 28, and Serenity Seragon, 1, all of Toledo, were transported to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries, troopers from the patrol’s Bowling Green post said.
The car was eastbound on Central, part of U.S. 20, when for reasons unknown it crossed the center line, went off the north side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned, troopers said.
All adults in the car wore seat belts, and the child was properly restrained in a child seat, according to the report. The crash remained under investigation Saturday.
