Third and final suspect in Dec. 31 Toledo homicide arrested

Police arrested today the third and final suspect in the last homicide of 2012, ending a week-long search for the fugitive.

Daquaine Booth, 25, was charged with murder last week in the Dec. 31 death of Brian Minley. At about 5:20 p.m. today, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Toledo Police Gang Task Force arrested Booth at 429 Bronson St., according to police. He had not been booked yet into the Lucas County jail as of 7:30 p.m.

Also charged with murder in the death were Ashley Hundstrucker and Kevin Brooks, both 23. They were arraigned May 30 and ordered held in the Lucas County jail, each in lieu of $1 million bonds. Preliminary hearings for the pair are scheduled for Thursday.

In court documents, Ms. Hundstrucker, of 3940 Lockwood Ave., is accused of driving Brooks and Mr. Booth from the crime scene in the 1200 block of Berdan Avenue.

Brooks, of 3208 Maple St., and Mr. Booth, of 3314 Cherry St., are accused of being at the crime scene when Mr. Minley, 24, was robbed and then fatally shot.
