Police seek tips on robberies at Netty’s, Koraleski Flowers

A West Toledo ice cream stand was robbed Sunday evening by a man who claimed to have a gun.

A man walked up to a window at Netty’s, 4672 Monroe St., about 7:41 p.m. and handed an employee a note that read, “Give me your money and I have a gun,” according to a police report.

After the employee gave the man cash from a register, the robber fled east along West Sylvania Avenue.

Police described the suspect as white, 5 feet 6 inches, and 160 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Another armed robbery had been reported nearby, at Koraleski Flowers, 5001 Monroe, on Friday evening. A police report stated a white man with a gun approached an employee, demanded she open a register, and then fled with cash.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers program at 419-255-1111.
