Man helping change tire struck by hit-skip driver

FAYETTE, Ohio — A man who was helping change a tire was struck early Saturday by a vehicle that continued northbound on Fulton County Road 23 into Lenawee County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene near the state line at 12:22 a.m.

Deputies did not release the victim’s name, his condition, or which hospital treated him.

The vehicle that struck the man was described as a small, newer sedan, which should have damage to the left front headlight assembly and possibly the front bumper, deputies said.

Deputies asked those with information to call the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Crime Stopper: 1-800-255-1122.
