Police investigate pair of weekend shootings

Toledo police were investigating two shootings that occurred near the University of Toledo.

An unknown suspect shot Justin Galloway, 31, in the leg at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday outside JoJo’s Famous Chili Dogs, 1122 N. Byrne Rd. Mr. Galloway was treated and released from Toledo Hospital.

Police had been out to the same address on Saturday afternoon and arrested Justin Medina, 28, for disorderly conduct intoxication and assaulting a police officer. Mr. Medina was booked at the Lucas County Jail at about 3:30 p.m Saturday.

While investigating the first shooting, a second gunshot victim was brought to the hospital. An unknown suspect fired shots at a bar near Auburn and Monroe at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Tyler Jones, 18, was shot and also taken to Toledo Hospital where he was treated and released.
