AYERSVILLE, Ohio -- Four people were found dead Thursday night in what Defiance County sheriff's deputies called a triple murder-suicide.

Dead are Robert Garza, Sr.; his wife, Christine Garza; daughter, Zoila Garza, and granddaughter, Rebecca Garza. Their ages were not released.

Deputies said Mr. Garza was the perpetrator, adding that they will continue to interview family members, neighbors, and friends.

The family was last seen about 3 p.m. Wednesday. The bodies were discovered at a residence in the 25200 block of Bowman Road, south of Defiance, by a family member who was checking on their welfare. Authorities were called about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Defiance is about 55 miles southwest of Toledo.
