Anthony Wayne Trail reopened after fallen tree shut down part of road for 5 hours

The outbound Anthony Wayne Trail reopened at 2 p.m. in South Toledo after being shut down today when a tree fell across the roadway, knocking down a light pole, Toledo police said.

There were no reported injuries, according to police.

The incident occurred about 9:20 a.m., closing the trail between Sherwood Avenue and Copeland Boulevard for about 5 hours, police said. There were no traffic crashes reported in the area at the time and it was unclear what caused the tree to fall, a police dispatcher said.
