Incident reported early today in sporting goods/automotive area.
TIFFIN — Tiffin firefighters responded to a fire at the Walmart Supercenter early today.
The fire was reported about 4:30 a.m. in the sporting goods/automotive area, according to the Tiffin Fire and Rescue Division.
The store, which is usually open 24-hours a day, closed when the fire was reported and remains closed. A Walmart employee did not know when the store, located at 2801 State Rt. 18, might reopen.
Fire division officials remain at the scene this afternoon.
No injuries were reported.
An email to the retailer’s media relations department seeking information was not immediately answered.
