Toledo police have identified two men who were shot Tuesday outside of an East Toledo carryout.
Dashawn Huggins, of the 700 block of Leach Avenue, and Deonte Lewis, address unknown, were shot while they were standing on the sidewalk at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Earl and Rogers streets, according to Toledo police.
Both were found approximately two miles away in the 2400 block of Navarre Avenue in Oregon, where officers and rescue crews found the men suffering from gunshot wounds. They attempted to go to Mercy St. Charles Hospital by private vehicle but were stopped in traffic and had to call police, Oregon Police Sgt. E.J. Materni said.
Both men were transported to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening. They were treated and released from the hospital, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
